In Seven Days Around The Web #33
Another week, another collection. Yet again, slightly later than intended but full to the brim with exciting new content. Get ready for cats, jam, music, fashion and then some. Without further ado:
Haven't been on holiday yet? Carola of Vienna Wedekind published a Corfu travel diary featuring more than one cute cat and it makes me want to fly there right this instant!
My friend Yasmin has just brought out a cassette mixtape and it's so dreamy and perfect for those autumnal evenings at home!
(German content) Das Leben in einer WG ist für viele junge Menschen Norm - das Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin hat 12 Prominente nach Anekdoten gefragt. Wirklich interessant!
I'm a big fan of Grafik's content - this time it's all about tote bags:
"Design agency Bunch and Cerovski Print Boutique have launched a competition to find the best print-based rhymes. It's open to anyone with a passion for print (and a penchant for poetry), and entries can be uploaded via the Print Poetry website. "
Miss Moss has summed up the fashion shows so we don't have to! I'm all for the 'Button Down' looks!
I'm still unsure what colour I should paint our bedroom wall, so this feature on Jotun wall paints by Tine of Inattendu has definitely made me lean towards a dusty pink or grey...
How great is this epic photoshoot at the Matterhorn to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first ascent of the Matterhorn ridge?! (via my friend Lucy).
London Borough of Jam is one of those London shops that make me wish I lived in the English capital. A shop that sells homemade jams and other local products (including amazing stuff by my favourite London maker, Hazel Stark)? Hell yes! The Independent Map Co. have just added the pretty shop to their website. And what a beauty it is!
I came across this cool story about the Maison Martin Margiela atelier in Another Mag via Tumblr and really love the photographic collages by HART+LËSHKINA.
Toll, Zeit Magazin!
Chelsea of the blog The Dauphine was assaulted in Brooklyn and has written about her experience. I admire her strength and am so relieved that she is fine and was able to fight off her attacker. You should all read her story on Medium!
If there's one dish I associate with the autumn and winter period it has to be Boeuf Bourguignon. I first tried this classic French dish in - you've guessed it - Burgundy about five years ago and have since really enjoyed my mum's version everytime I go home. Alisa of Spasiba has just posted a recipe of Boeuf Bourguignon on her blog, and it looks delicious - I may just have to try it out at home!
That's it from me for now. I'm currently spending a long weekend at home. Despite the home comforts, I seem to have spent most of my time at other places, exploring my old neighbourhood and taking advantage of my Vespa. I'll update you on my adventures next week!
